If you are still using the Dremel 402 mandrel when using cut-off wheels and have not tried the EZ402 mandrel do this:
Line up a 426 fiberglass reinforced cutoff wheel and a 402 mandrel and time how long it takes you to secure the 426 cut-off wheel on the 402 mandrel. Next, borrow or buy the EZ402 mandrel and time how long it takes to secure the EZ Lock cut-off wheel on the EZ Lock mandrel. Compare the two times. You've just sold yourself on the EZ Lock mandrel!

As easy as pull, twist and release, EZ Lock's simple one-piece design requires no fumbling for the screw or looking for the screwdriver. Our tests show an 80% reduction in the average time to replace a cut-off wheel using the EZ Lock mandrel.

Features

  • Faster accessory change--saves time and increases productivity
  • Simple accessory change--easy as pull, twist and release
  • One-piece mandrel design eliminates the need for the screw
  • EZ Lock cut-off wheels last two times longer than standard reinforced wheels

EZ Drum Mandrel

Common uses for sanding bands include smoothing and shaping wood or removing paint. On a similar note, you may still be using 407 mandrel when you use a one half inch sanding band accessory. It too has a little screw to tighten and loosen the rubber cylinder that secures the sanding band to the mandrel.

Enter the EZ407SA EZ Drum mandrel. The Dremel EZ Drum mandrel makes sanding band changes easy as pull-place-secure. The one-piece drum mandrel design streamlines the process of changing sanding bands and makes it easy to sand flat surfaces and edges. Compatible with all Dremel rotary tools.

  • The patented EZ Drum™ system making accessory changes 5X faster than using a standard mandrel

  • Allows for flat sanding and edge sanding

  • Compatible with all Dremel rotary tools

  • Compatible with all Dremel 1/2 In. sanding bands (408, 432, 445)

So if you are still using the 402 mandrel with a screw, or the 407 mandrel for sanding bands with a screw, please know that you can speed up accessory changes and have more time for your projects and spend less time fiddling with that little screw when you step-up to the EZLock mandrel or the EZ Drum mandrel!
