Issues with my first print

I just got a used Dremel 3d40 and made my first print.

There were some issues such as a few ragged edges.

Can someone tell me some possible causes?20250829_161158.jpg20250829_161110.jpg20250829_161212.jpg

Hi Timb12957,

Thanks for your question on the print.  What filament are you using?

It looks like this isn’t Dremel-branded filament, which is perfectly fine to use. However, you’ll likely need to adjust the heat settings in your slicing software, since the 3D40 printer doesn’t allow temperature changes directly on the unit. Most slicing programs do offer this option, so we recommend setting the temperature according to the filament manufacturer's guidelines—these are usually printed on the box or packaging. Adjusting the heat settings should help reduce the excess filament buildup you're seeing.
