On a visit to a home center, I saw a shopper standing in front of the display of Dremel products. As I will do occasionally, I introduced myself and told them I worked for Dremel and asked if they had any questions. They held up an oscillating tool accessory and asked me what tool it fit onto. I showed them the Dremel Multi-Max oscillating tool and they said, “No what rotary tool will this fit?” I politely explained that not all the accessories that Dremel sells will fit our rotary tool.  Therefore, this blog is dedicated to the explanation that there is a difference between rotary tools and oscillating tools. . .
