Besides ships and boats I have an affinity for train locomotives. I find their engineering fascinating and they just look cool. I also like to repurpose things to make my projects and this mini locomotive is a classic example. It is made from copper plumbing parts, left over ship model parts, washers for the wheels, jewelry items and decor, paper fasteners and parts from a disposable camera. There is a set of three gears stowed away underneath which allows the drive wheels to turn in synch. Took a few hours to make as you might imagine.Boiler Assembly

That's some nice detail on that steam engine! Really like the whissle.

Thanks for noticing. The whistle was actually a small pressure relief valve that I cut a slot into. Thought it made an authentic looking steam whistle.
