Tell us the story behind your project. What part of nature inspired you to make it? How did it all come together?
In 20 yrs of dremel carving this is my 3rd detailed stick, it took 70 dremel hours and was freecarved (i had no plan except "nature"). Start with a simple handle. Then i sketched and carved (SnC) a chameleon. I continued on down SnCing as i saw fit. 2 grubs a grey tree frog, hognosed snake and mushrooms to finish the bottom. Special thanks to Phrogflyer for ideas on the top. He said parrot instead of the Toco Toucan i chose, but he kept me on the tropical theme. Thank you Phrog. This has my first carved epoxy fill at the top (blue streaks). The berries on top allow it to be leaned against any surface (flat, round or corners) and stay balanced. I wanted to practice carving throughs (holes) and did 16 of them.
I would like to take my time to thank 2 people. My mom Joanne who taught me to never give up on the people or things you love and my long time girlfriend Jaye who has taught me true strength. I am nothing without you both.
Species is white oak? finished boiled linseed oil.

As always dremel is flawless. Even in the 110 degree desert heat. Never an issue thats not of my doing with my 4000. Fyi it says did i capture any video but no spot to enter no, just says not answered. BUT: IF ENOUGH PEOPLE REQUEST CARVING VIDEOS I WILL BE HAPPY TO PUT OUT A VIDEO SERIES. THANK YOU. Dremel should think about giving oyt tshirts to winners to promote these contests.
