First when i choose a pattern or design to etch it engrave i print out in a few different sizes to decide what will work best. If I'm using glass i like to use those color change glue sticks to hold it in place. If it's a large piece I use an overhead projector, then pencil on my design. I also use carbon paper to trace the design. I use my Stylo and or Flex Shaft for precision to get started with my design. Depending on the width/depth I use various tips. My best advise is to take your time and have fun!
