So I typically have been disappointed at best and mildly injured at worst by non proprietary 1/8" shank bits no matter the use case/category with the major exception being Duragrit carbide bits for cutting and shaping. Love these lil gold jawns for making small quick precise and safe augmentations to wood. Limited experience with other materials have not disappointed me so far either.
Other than these, I find it worthwhile and usually cheaper in long run to just buy the Dremel brand. If anyone has any suggestions for non proprietary bits they have really enjoyed or warnings of ones too avoid, I'm all ears. Oh and I find myself using every category of bit eventually so all are welcome.
